Conservatives on the House Judiciary Committee have finally voted to request documents about the former FBI director James Comey. The Republicans filed an amendment to H. Res 446 that was originally intended to investigate the firing of James B. Comey, and instead have transformed it into an effort to probe Comey’s handling of the Hillary Clinton email scandal.

Reps. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.), Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) and Mike Johnson (R-La.) have co-sponsored the amendment to H. Res 446, however, the original bill was put forth by Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.).

The altered resolution passed on a 16-13 partisan vote, and will now be heard by the House of Representatives, you can track the bill right here.
