THE PERKS OF LIVING IN LOS ANGELES

Living in California may be considered ungodly. The state is liberal, it’s and a very expensive place to live, a high crime rate in the large cities and not a good place to raise your children.  But for a Street Preacher this is the place to live.  Los Angeles is home to Hollywood that gives the world TV, movies, music and starts all the fads.

What I enjoy about living in this city is all the ‘award shows’ we get to preach at.  We have the ‘People’s Choice awards’ ‘SAG Awards’ Grammy Awards’ and of course the ‘Academy Awards’ just to name a few. 

At these events everyone who is anyone in the music and film industry come to get their award and all the actors and actresses come in black limos to get an award. These events are in downtown Los Angeles, Beverly Hills and Hollywood. Most are walking plastic surgery patients, filled with tummy tucks, saline & silicone implants, buttock lifts, facial implants or soft tissue augmentations and liposuction.

Since 911 we cannot get near the red Carpet as we once did.  So we will raise banners where all the limo’s need to get checked and allowed to the Red Carpet.  But first they must stop by us as each limo is checked for security and during that time we get a chance to preach to these little gods.

When they arrive at the holy Red Carpet, the world watches them and the 1000’s of flashing lights from the photos are taken of these gods.  However on their personal phones they have pictures of us preaching to them.

One by one they pass by and was given a message of repentance. We have been outside these events since the 1980’s preaching and warning all the Hollywood gods before they walk that hallowed red carpet. Reminding them the real stars and celebrities are found in the Bible, obeying God, living holy and being persecuted for their faith.

In Beverly Hills during the ‘Golden Globe Awards’ this person told his limo driver to pull over and asked questions about the woman caught in adultery. I did not know who he was, maybe a producer.  Months later Harvey Weinstein was arrested and convicted as a sex offender for Hollywood….and that person in the limo asking questions about the woman caught in adultery was Harvey Weinstein. 

We are not star struck but preach to them like every other sinner that need Jesus. Their life is not glamorous but filled with drug or alcohol rehab, marriage, divorce and if they are a good Hollywood god they will die of an overdose or suicide

Please pray for us that we give a message those celebrities need to hear and no one will tell them.
