Alberta premier to sue Trudeau gov’t for ‘unjustified’ use of Emergencies Act

EDMONTON, Alberta (LifeSiteNews) – Alberta Premier said that his province will launch a court challenge against the federal government over Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s “unjustified” use of the Emergencies Act (EA).

“The federal government’s invocation of the Emergencies Act is an unnecessary and disproportionate measure that can violate civil liberties, invades provincial jurisdiction, and creates a very dangerous precedent for the future. And it’s not necessary,” Kenney said in a Twitter video posted Saturday.

Alberta is filing a Court challenge to the unjustified use of the Emergencies Act.

We may also intervene in support of other Court challenges.
