Canadian province creates special police force to implement draconian COVID mandates

SASKATCHEWAN (LifeSiteNews) – The Ministry of Health of the Canadian province of Saskatchewan is creating a “Covid Enforcement Team (CET)” made up of retired cops to help enforce draconian vaccine passports and mask mandates.  

According to Dr. Johnmark Opondo, a medical health officer with the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA), the CET is “a group of retired police officers who are really going to assist us, particularly where we are short in terms of public health inspectors.”

Opondo shared the creation of the CET during a physician town hall held on October 7

“The job that this group is going to be doing is really regulating masking non-compliance complaints, regulating proof on vaccination non-compliance complaints from businesses or the public,” said Opondo. 

In a presentation to doctors titled “Offensive Strategy,” Opondo shared detailed information that the retired cops forming the CET will be given “special constable status” to go after those who break the province’s COVID rules.  

According to Opondo, the CET will be responsible for enforcing indoor mask mandates along with “proof of vaccination non-compliance for businesses that are not typically regulated,” such as gyms.
