EDMONTON, Alberta (LifeSiteNews) – On her first day on the job, Alberta’s new premier vowed that she will forge ahead and amend the province’s human rights code so that discriminating against a person because of his or her vaccine status would be illegal.
While speaking to reporters last week after being sworn in as provincial premier, Danielle Smith said (1:00:47 mark) that “If I need to make the point that this discrimination is unadaptable, the best way to do it is by changing the Human Rights Act.”

Smith had promised while campaigning to become the new leader of the United Conservative Party (UCP) that she would make it illegal for anyone to be fired because of their vaccine status.
“Thousands of Albertans lost their jobs because they wouldn’t agree to be vaccinated. Tens of thousands were pressured to take the vaccine on threat of losing their job. This was a human rights violation,” Smith tweeted.
