Denmark pauses national COVID vaccine campaign, plans to resume it in the fall

COPENHAGEN, Denmark (LifeSiteNews) — Denmark has said it is suspending its national COVID-19 vaccination campaign but has already announced that it will likely resume after summer.

Danish health authorities made the announcement Tuesday, noting that the pandemic was “under control” and that the country was in a “good position.”

“Therefore, we are winding down the mass vaccination program against Covid-19,” said Bolette Søborg, director of the authority’s department of infectious diseases.

People of goodwill can disagree about the safety, efficacy and religious implications of a new vaccine for the coronavirus.

But, everyone should agree on this point:

No government can force anyone who has reached legal adulthood to be vaccinated for the coronavirus. Equally, no government can vaccinate minors for the coronavirus against the will of their parents or guardians.
