Pic shows: The unusual light in the sky. People whose city was ravaged by landslides that killed 17 of them were cheered by what they believed was the figure of Jesus appearing through clouds. A crowd gathered to film the sunlight slanting through clouds in the city in the city of Manizales, in the north central Colombian department of Caldas, where on 18th April 17 people were killed by landslides caused by heavy rains. The rare cloud phenomenon was recorded on a mountain called Sancancio. The shape that the locals said was the figure of Jesus provided comfort to grieving city folk. A woman called ‘Marya de Iesus’ on social media recorded the religious experience and shared it online, where many netizens commented that it was a sign of Jesus of Nazareth. She wrote with the video: "Jesus Christ was visiting our Colombian town, he calmed down the sky and was listened to. God blesses us and glory to Lord and Universe King." On the video, a man can be heard in the background saying: "Oh, my God, my blessed God, come here to see the misery. Look at this, look at this, blessing God. Glory to the Lord. Do you see the Lord there, standing up?" The video went viral on social networks and was shared more than 27,700 times. ‘Sandra Mejia’ said: "In this moment of pain, people want to believe it is a divine item that gives them hope and strength to keep on living and fighting." ‘Angel Sanchez’ was among the netizens who linked the phenomenon to a conspiracy theory that NASA is trying to bring about a new world order by using mind control: "What fools people, have you not heard of the secret project called Blue Beam?" However, other netizens said that this was a simple shaft of sunlight breaking through clouds. ‘Noe Bazan’ wrote: "This is a natural phenomenon with the light of the sun through different types of clouds. It happens in all parts of the world." (ends)
