MEDICINE HAT, Alberta (LifeSiteNews) – Trucker Freedom Convoy organizer Tamara Lich was met with a hero’s welcome upon returning home to Medicine Hat, Alberta, this Saturday. Lich had just spent almost three weeks in jail for opposing the COVID edicts of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s government before getting bail.
Video of her arrival posted on Twitter Saturday by Keean Bexte of the Counter Signal shows a large crowd greeting Lich with hugs, tears, as well as an impromptu singing of Canada’s national anthem, “O, Canada.”
BREAKING: Convoy Leader Tamara Lich welcomed home from prison as a hero. She was met by a crowd of nearly 100 locals and greeted with hugs, tears, and a rendition of the national anthem. Trudeau wanted this woman to stay in prison indefinitely.

Many in the crowd were waving Canadian flags, and some were seen holding signs of support reading “Welcome home Tamara” and “Thank you Tamara.”
Independent Alberta Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) Drew Barnes for Medicine Hat tweeted his support for Lich coming home,
