The Human Rights Campaign has declared that Vice President Mike Pence is one of the most significant threats to equality in the history of the movement.

The activist organization claims that VP Pence has garnered ‘enormous power’ because he has taken advantage of the chaos of the Trump administration.

“He has become not only the most powerful vice president in history but also the least scrutinized,” said HRC President Chad Griffin. “No more.”

Joel Goldstein, of the Saint Louis University School of Law, claims that Pence has received minimal scrutiny, because “Pence being cautious and Trump keeping the spotlight on himself.”

According to the Human Rights Campaign (HRC); “His record needs to be exposed before he potentially becomes (the next president), Sgro said. “Average Americans, unfortunately, are not hearing about Pence’s part in this administration’s dangerous agenda.”

Further, “It’s no secret where Pence has been (on social issues),” Goldstein said. “But, on the other hand, that’s an issue that has pretty much been back-burnered for a lot of people.”

Meanwhile, the Pence family recently produced a book called “Marlon Bundo’s Day in the Life of the Vice President,” which detailed what its like, through a child’s eyes, for a day in the life of the Vice President. The proceeds of the Pence’s creative and child-friendly story will go to A21, a nonprofit dedicated to stopping human trafficking, as well as an art therapy program at Riley Hospital for Children.

In addition, back in January of 2018, the Vice President made a statement when he claimed that The United States is on the verge of restoring “the sanctity of life to the center of American law,” and the Trump administration is completely backing the move.

Finally, according to Mike Pence, the United Nations has failed Christians in the Middle East, and as a result, Pence stated; “We will no longer rely on the United Nations alone to assist persecuted Christians and minorities in the wake of genocide and the atrocities of terrorist groups.”

The Human Rights Campaign is claiming that the Vice President is one of the most significant threats to equality, while the Pence family is actively attempting to make a difference on issues like abortion, human trafficking, and the persecution of Christians in the Middle East.
