Iran Expands Its Nuclear Program

By The Editor

Iran has announced that it will expand its nuclear weapons program as previously promised. Tehran announced that it has launched new advanced centrifuges in response to a critical resolution by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

The speaker of Iran’s parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, said on Sunday that Tehran has inaugurated new advanced centrifuges for nuclear enrichment.

The IAEA, which is the United Nations atomic watchdog, passed the resolution at its board of governors meeting on Thursday. The motion denounced Iran’s lack of transparency on its nuclear activities. “Their dishonesty and bad faith have disrupted the constructive atmosphere we were building for strengthened cooperation between Iran and the agency. These politically charged and nonconstructive decisions force countries to take measures outside the IAEA protocols to safeguard their national security,” Ghalibaf stated.
