MSNBC, on Saturday morning, hosted a gay rights activist who described both Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Vice President Mike Pence as “homophobic psychopaths.”
Brandon Wolf, the aforementioned gay rights activist, stated that if Mike Pence ever were to become President, he’d force all homosexuals into concentration camps. Host Joy Reid refused to rebuke the comments and sat idly by while the unhinged activist lashed out at the Vice President.
“We have a secretary of state, as was mentioned, that believes that gay people are sinners based on who they are,” Wolf said. “If Mike Pence, God bless him, ended up in the White House, sitting behind that desk in the Oval Office, he would have us all in concentration camps hoping to pray away the gay.”
While Wolf’s statements are alarming and remarkably conspiratorial, the reality is that the Bible does say homosexuality is a sin, but the Bible also says that everyone, in fact, is a sinner in need of a Savior.
What this means is that Pompeo and Pence are sinners just like Wolf. The difference is that, as Christians, they recognize their sinful nature and work daily to correct it. However, just because they want to fix their sins doesn’t mean they intend to force others to recognize and ameliorate their own sins — especially given that the Bible also allows for free will.
In the New Testament, in Corinthians, Paul mentions that the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God, right before Paul writes that; “such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified, in the Name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.” In reference is 1st Corinthians 6:11.
1 Corinthians 6:9-11 reads;
9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
While many efforts by Christians to change the reality of homosexuality within a person are ineffective, it is because man cannot wash the sin away it is God that washes the sin away with the compliant individual.
What many on the left are failing to recognize is the reality that both Pence and Pompeo by acclaiming Christianity as their faith, subscribe to the fact that God does not say hate the sinner; instead, the Lord says to hate the sin.
