TORONTO (LifeSiteNews) — A Muslim woman fighting to protect children from gender ideology in Canadian schools is facing online threats from LGBT activists.
On August 6, Bahira Abdulsalam, an educator and Toronto mother, revealed that she has been subjected abusive messages online as LGBT activist try to “silence” her work to safeguard children from LGBT indoctrination in schools.
“You cannot imagine the amount of threats, insults I am getting just because I am saying I want my children to be educated without gender ideology,” Abdulsalam told True North News.
“They are trying to silence me, and they are trying to scare me,” she added.
Abdulsalam ran for mayor in the 2023 by-election and currently sits on the Toronto District School Board’s Parent Involvement Advisory Committee.
During her time in Canada, Abdulsalam has received several hateful messages for her work against the LGBT agenda.
“Take your fundamentalist religious extremism and MOVE BACK TO THE THEOCRACY YOU CAME FROM,” one user told her.
