My daughter was diagnosed with Trisomy 18, but I knew abortion was not my ‘only option’

(LifeSiteNews) — On this week’s episode of The Van Maren Show, Jonathon interviews Irish pro-life activist Vicky Wall about how the experience of having a stillborn daughter led her to become a defender of mothers and children in similarly heartbreaking situations.

Vicky is the founder of Every Life Counts, an online support network for parents with children diagnosed with “life-limiting” or terminal conditions. On this week’s episode you’ll hear Vicky share moving testimony about her daughter Líadán, who was diagnosed in the womb with Trisomy 18, a condition that very few afflicted babies manage to survive.

Despite Líadán’s poor odds of survival and Vicky’s doctor telling her the “only option” was to “pop over to England” — i.e., to get an abortion, which was banned in Ireland at the time — Vicky knew in her heart that Líadán was not “incompatible” with life.
