(LifeSiteNews) — Ohio Right to Life has made clear its support for former employee Elizabeth Marbach’s social media post, “There’s no hope for any of us outside of having faith in Jesus Christ alone,” issued the day before Marbach and Ohio Right to Life parted ways.
After Marbach’s post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Republican Jewish Congressman Max Miller had publicly accused her of bigotry.
“This is one of the most bigoted tweets I have ever seen,” Miller wrote. “Delete it, Lizzie. Religious freedom in the United States applies to every religion. You have gone too far.”
Miller issued a public apology for his criticism later that day.
The drama, which had unfolded on social media, attracted national attention and raised questions about the reason for Marbach’s firing on the heels of her post on X.
When Ohio Right to Life chief executive officer Peter Range attempted to explain that the decision to fire Marbach “was not based on any single event as some on social media claim,” Matt Walsh replied, “We are going to need a much better explanation than this.
