Pennsylvania sees massive influx of women from pro-life states seeking abortions

(LifeSiteNews) – Pennsylvania is becoming an abortion haven in the wake of Roe v. Wade’s fall, with the state seeing thousands of visitors from newly pro-life states seeking to have their preborn children disposed of.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that following the U.S. Supreme Court’s June overturn of Roe, Pennsylvania abortionists “anticipated a 25% increase in out-of-state patients — roughly 8,500 more people,” resulting in facilities hiring more doctors and expanding hours.

Since then, Allegheny Reproductive Health Center in Pittsburgh says it has seen a 60% increase in out-of-state customers, while non-native abortion seekers have “doubled at Planned Parenthood Keystone clinics in York, Harrisburg, and Allentown.”

“We actually are a keystone state,” says Women’s Law Project Pennsylvania director Susan Frietsche. Planned Parenthood Keystone CEO Melissa Reed calls Pennsylvania a “critical state in the provision of abortion care in our nation.”
