Prime Minister Justin Trudeau booed heavily at North American Indigenous Games

(LifeSiteNews) — Continuing a long-standing trend of public disapproval, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was met with jeers and boos when he took the stage at the 2023 North American Indigenous Games on Sunday in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Arriving to deliver a speech to help kick off the Games, Trudeau is shown in a brief video clip posted by the Toronto Sun being immediately blasted with boos and shouts of disdain by Canadians in attendance at the event centered around the promotion of Native American athletics.

“Hello my friends!” Trudeau attempted to begin, as the tail end of his words were eclipsed by a booing crowd.

While Trudeau is often booed or shouted at by Canadians when making public appearances, the fact that this time it was at an event focused on Indigenous Canadians – a group considered to be more favorable to liberal politicians than conservative politicians – garnered immense attention on social media.
