ST. LOUIS (LifeSiteNews) – Pro-life Republican Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt won the state’s Republican Senate primary Tuesday with 45% of the vote in a field of 21 candidates.
Speaking at Sheraton Westport Lakeside Chalet in St. Louis, Schmitt said “I don’t come from billions. I come from Bridgeton. I’m proud of my working-class roots. And I’m going to Washington to fight for working families, defeat socialism and lead the fight to save America,” the Missouri Independent reported.
He also vowed to fight “President Biden’s all out assault on our liberties.” Schmitt was followed by U.S. Rep. Vicki Hartzler, who received 23% of the vote, and former Missouri Governor Eric Greitens, who received 19%.
