Pro-life Texas Gov. Greg Abbott wins crushing midterms victory over pro-abortion Beto O’Rourke

(LifeSiteNews) — Pro-life Texas Gov. Greg Abbott crushed pro-abortion, pro-LGBT opponent Beto O’Rourke on Tuesday night.

64-year-old Abbott won his third term with 55 percent of the vote as of Wednesday morning. The Associated Press has called the race for Abbott, who has consistently defended the right to life and opposed the chemical and genital mutilation of children.

O’Rourke, a former congressman, previously failed to unseat Sen. Ted Cruz in 2018, lost in the 2020 Democratic presidential primaries, and has now been rejected again by Lone Star voters.

O’Rourke supported the chemical and genital mutilation of children and supported abortion through all nine months of pregnancy. He picked former Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards, the daughter of former Texas governor Ann Richards, to lead fundraising efforts for him.
