Records show Quebec school district spent $1,600 in taxpayer money on drag queen conference

(LifeSiteNews) — A Quebec school district paid infamous drag queen performer Barbada de Barbades more than $1,000 in taxpayer money to attend a school conference.

Recently, drag performer and elementary teacher Sebastien Potvin, who goes by the stage name Barbada de Barbades, was paid $1,400 by the Centre de services scolaire de la Capitale for a one-hour, 35-minute drag conference.

The Centre de services scolaire de la Capitale, which is responsible for Quebec City schools, paid Potvin $1,400 and $209.65 went to provincial and federal sales taxes, making the total $1,609.65, according to records obtained by Rebel News.

The name of the school where the conference took place was withheld by Rebel News for journalistic reasons.

This is hardly the first time that the Quebec government has funded LGBT events to promote the LGBT lifestyle to Canadians.

Recently disclosed records show that the federal government of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau gave $12 million of taxpayer money to fund “pride” organizations and events from 2020 to 2022.

Similarly, in June the Trudeau government pledged $1.5 million in what it claims is “emergency funding” for “pride” month to organizations running
