HAGERSTOWN, Maryland (LifeSiteNews) — On Thursday, Republican U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas went the extra mile to support the pro-freedom, anti-mandate U.S. trucker convoy that recently completed a cross-country trek to protest coercive COVID-19 measures.
Cruz joined the convoy on Thursday morning at Hagerstown Speedway in Maryland, where he addressed participants and even climbed aboard one of the trucks for a ride.

Video shared on social media showed Cruz riding in the passenger seat of the convoy’s lead truck as the Canadian Freedom Convoy-inspired cavalcade continuously looped the Washington Beltway, a 64-mile-long stretch of highway encircling Washington, D.C., for the fourth consecutive day.
