A North Carolina sheriff’s deputy was fired after he allegedly robbed a bank Tuesday.
Jeff Athey was arrested and charged with robbing the bank at around 4 p.m., Davidson County Sheriff David Grice said, Fox 8 reported.
Grice said Athey was terminated immediately after he carried out the crime.
Nobody was hurt during the robbery and Athey submitted to the arresting officers, Grice said.
