The careers of first responders in Maryland not taking COVID shot hang in the balance

ROCKVILLE, Maryland (LifeSiteNews) — In jurisdictions across the country, first responders who have well-founded medical, moral, and religious reasons to object to receiving the potentially harmful, not-fully-tested, abortion-tainted COVID-19 vaccine are being punished for their principled stands against government-sponsored medical tyranny.   

In New York City, thousands of career firefighters, police officers, and Emergency Medical personnel (EMTs) who were placed on leave without pay last fall face termination next week simply for following their consciences.

Likewise, in Montgomery County, Maryland — a wealthy suburb bordering Washington, D.C., where every County Council member is a liberal Democrat — first responders who not long ago were hailed as frontline heroes of the pandemic now find themselves fighting to keep their jobs as the council prepares to institute a mandate requiring documentation of being “fully vaccinated” against COVID-19 in order to maintain their employment.

Outspoken County Council member Hans Riemer, whose wife is a Pfizer vice president, expressed antipathy toward the unvaccinated last fall, saying in an interview that first responders and other county employees seeking
