OTTAWA (LifeSiteNews) — Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s federal government reportedly only began dropping its COVID jab travel mandates after a poll showed the majority of Canadians viewed them as divisive, ineffective, and unnecessary.
According to Blacklock’s Reporter, a recently unveiled pollster’s report commissioned by Trudeau’s Privy Council Office titled, Continuous Qualitative Data Collection Of Canadians’ Views, shows that the federal government’s abrupt decision to start dropping federal mandates in June occurred just weeks after the poll found that the majority of Canadians no longer supported the measures.
“All participants were of the view vaccine requirements had been largely harmful, believing they had been divisive, ineffective and unfairly targeted those who had made the personal decision to not get vaccinated,” reads the May 16 report, adding that “some felt they had lost their sense of trust in the federal government.”
The researchers noted that respondents “felt the decision to get vaccinated was a personal one,” and that vaccine mandates constituted an “overreach on the part of the federal government and unfairly infringed upon those who made the personal choice to not get
