Trudeau gov’t refuses to clarify cost of sending 277 delegates to luxurious European climate event

OTTAWA, Ontario (LifeSiteNews) – Justin Trudeau’s Liberal Party has refused to disclose how much sending over 250 delegates to the U.N. climate change conference in Glasgow will cost taxpayers. 

On Tuesday, Canadian Liberal Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s Department of Environment refused to reveal how much taxpayer money was spent in sending a 277-member delegation on a two-week junket to the United Nations’ COP26 “climate change” conference in Glasgow that started last Sunday, according to Blacklock’s Reporter

“The Department of Environment [on Tuesday] would not detail the cost of sending Canada’s 277-member delegation to a climate change conference in Glasgow,” reported Blacklock. “Former environment minister Catherine McKenna attended as a VIP. The department [also] did not reply when asked if she traveled at taxpayers’ expense.” 

When pressed further about whether McKenna, who is no longer a public servant, would be traveling on the taxpayers’ dime, a government spokesperson dodged the question saying, “Canada has taken steps to ensure diverse perspectives are reflected in international forums.” 

The international meeting, which seeks to encourage national leaders to commit to mandating lifestyle restrictions, such as reducing meat and fuel consumption, in their countries, is the 26th Conference of the Parties (COP26) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
