(LifeSiteNews) – The Ukrainian government is swiftly moving to digitalize its entire administrative arm, with the nation’s Ministry of Digital Transformation already creating the world’s first app combining digital identification with passports, licenses, insurance, social welfare benefits, COVID “vaccination” records and more with “absolutely no internal restrictions.”
The app, Diia by name, currently grants Ukrainian citizens access to over 50 government services and allows them to use nine personal digitized documents, the government’s UkraineNOW website states. By 2021, the app’s 4.5 million users were able to store digital documentation from an “ID card, foreign biometric passport, student card, driver’s license, vehicle registration certificate, vehicle insurance policy, tax number, birth certificate, IDP [internally displaced person] certificate.”
“Ukraine has become the first country with a digital ID that is valid and can be used everywhere within the country,” the website boasts, adding that all “digital documents in Diia now have the same legal force as their plastic or paper counterparts.”
