WASHINGTON, D.C. (LifeSiteNews) — Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-NC) took to the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives last week and boldly admonished Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), declaring, “Madam Speaker, you are not God!”
Cawthorn, who is confined to a wheelchair, chided the elderly House leader for the reinstitution of a mask mandate within the House side of the U.S. Capitol building which calls for the arrest of staff or visitors who fail to wear a mask.
“Madam Speaker, you are not God!” thundered the young, newly minted North Carolina congressman, pointing toward the rostrum from which the Speaker presides.
