Glock the brand that just doesn’t quit! Glocks are built tough, literally throw the gun in dirt and submerge it fully in muddy water and you can expect that round to fire each time with out fail! Glocks are amazing guns they are built for SHTF! They are built for duty! They are built “Glock Tough”!
The reason for 40 s&w is because 65% to 85% of police officers carry this round. When this goes down and you slip away to the woods, away from the chaos that is going to come about, you will not be able to take everything with you especially not thousands of thousands of rounds. So you need to be able to pick up what you can find and the two most common rounds known to gun owners are 9mm and 40 S&W. 40 S&W is a very tough round to beat, its a great middle between 9mm and 45acp. 40 S&W feels smooth as you pull the trigger and has a very nice impact on target.
Conversion Time
Enough with the basics, in a SHTF situation diversity is key. So combining 2 guns into one is a rare commodity. There is now a barrel you can purchase that completes the whole set and that is a Lone Wolf conversion barrel from 40 S&W to 9mm. They are about 100 dollars and you simply can’t beat that kind of diversity. You can also purchase a conversion kit to also make the glock into a 22LR round as well. So there you have it 3 bullets from one gun. Most conversion kits cost around 250-350 dollars for just one change but you can convert your glock 22 40S&W into a 9mm for about 100 dollars. For your conversion to go as smoothly as shown you will need to purchase as well a couple Glock 17 9mm magazines, they hold 17 rounds. The change between magazines requires nothing else because the Glock 17 9mm handgun and the Glock 22 40 S&W handgun use the same frame. This is very important! You cannot convert from a Glock 17 9mm into a Glock 22 40 S&W, you can only convert the other way around.
See In The Dark
The last and final major purchase to choose for your glock is Night Sights. The reason for night sights instead of a flashlight is because if you can see your target but they can’t see you, that gives you the best advantage. Not to mention, they are brighter in the day compared to the stock contrast sights. These night sights are made with tritium and can last roughly up to 15 years. So 15 years of using the cover of night to hunt, protect, and shoot is virtually unbeatable. Now don’t get me wrong there is nothing wrong with having  a flashlight on your glock as well, to me it is just better to have on on your head or in your hand.
