Conservative MP threatened by China calls for Trudeau minister to resign from CCP-linked position

OTTAWA, Ontario (LifeSiteNews) –– A Canadian MP who was personally threatened multiple times by an alleged agent of the Communist Chinese Party (CCP) has called on Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s Environment Minister Steven Guilbeault to resign for accepting an appointment on a Chinese climate panel.  

“Ten years ago it was reasonable for Western gov’ts to propose cooperation with China on GHG emissions. Xi had just become leader. The IEA & many gov’ts, including Harper’s, thought global coal demand would peak in 2013 & decline from there.” began Conservative Party of Canada MP Michael Chong on X, formerly Twitter.

“Western gov’ts assumed China would work in good faith on climate change & GHG emissions. But over the last decade, Beijing’s actions demonstrate it’s not working in good faith. It’s working furiously to increase GHG emissions,” continued Chong,
