President Trump during his 2017 Thanksgiving address.

FLORIDA, November 23, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) — In his first-ever Thanksgiving address as President, Donald Trump mentioned God eight times, reversing former President Obama’s refusal to mention the name of God even once in his Thanksgiving Proclamations since 2009.

President Trump in his address today thanked God for his providence and asking God to continue to bless the nation. He gave his address from his Mar-a-Lago Resort in Florida. A cheery crackling fire in the background set the thanksgiving mood.

Trump recounted how thanking God for his blessings and asking him for his continued blessing is part of the American way. He noted that when the pilgrims arrived in Plymouth almost four hundred years ago, their “first act was to pray.”

“On their first Thanksgiving, they came together to rejoice after their harvest and praise God for his provision. Since then, Americans have always remembered the blessings of freedom and the glory of God,” he said.

Here’s the kicker, he says god and I say God. Which god is he referring to?
When I say God, I refer to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. When I pray to Him i do it by way of my Lord Jesus Christ.
So he said god 8 times, how many times did he say Jesus?
I fear he speaks to the god of this world.
Don’t be deceived.

Let us not forget at The Family Leadership Summit Luntz asked Donald Trump “have you ever asked God for forgiveness?” He danced around the question then said “I don’t bring God into that picture”.

You’re right, I’m not arguing with you. But people can change, you and I are proof of that because we have been changed by the Blood of Jesus, so in this instance with Donald we need to be watchful of his actions to make judgements by his actions in the present tense. Sure he committed sins in the past, so have I. Well on that note what does the Bible say about people claiming to be of the faith?

Amen. I totally agree. Take what people say with their lips with a grain of salt. He may know God but does God know him? That is the true question. A question we all need to check ourselves with as I do myself. This is all I am saying. He may be a true born again believer but I am telling yaw now. I am looking at his fruit.
