Trump’s Christmas card says ‘Merry Christmas,’ Obama’s never did

WASHINGTON, D.C., November 28, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) – The Trump family’s first presidential Christmas card says “Merry Christmas” rather than “Happy Holidays,” the Obamas’ preferred greeting.

It seems Trump is making good on his campaign and post-campaign promises to fight political correctness.

“We’re gonna say Merry Christmas again!” he promised last December.

The 2017 White House Christmas card wishes people “Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.” It’s signed by President Trump, Melania, and their son Barron.

“The President, Barron, and I are very excited for our first Christmas in the White House,” said First Lady Melania Trump. “As with many families across the country, holiday traditions are very important to us. I hope when visiting the People’s House this year, visitors will get a sense of being home for the holidays.”

“On behalf of my husband and Barron, I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and joyous holiday season,” the First Lady said.
