A public school in Chula Vista, California is under fire for a mural depicting the President of the United States, Donald Trump, decapitated by an ‘Aztec warrior.’

According to a CBS affiliate, residents notified police of the charter school’s mural where the ‘artwork’ was displayed. School Officials only after an encounter with the Police are vowing to re-paint the mural; claiming the “art” doesn’t “alight with our school’s philosophy.”

“We understand that there was a mural painted at the event this past weekend that does not align with our school’s philosophy of non-violence. We have been in communication with the artist who has agreed to modify the artwork to better align with the school’s philosophy,” Director Tommy Ramirez wrote.

The ‘art’ displays President Trump’s head impaled on a spear. The artist is Sasha Andrade whose response to the request for questions by KUSI News, the CBS affiliate, was; “Thanks for the free advertising, if you need any mural let us know.”

The mural is an apparent political statement, one that involves the murder of the United States President. Also, surrounding the murals controversy is the question, did the school know before the painting of the mural?

The artist claims that the school approved the mural, before the production of the painting. Some commenters about the mural are stating that they don’t believe the President’s head being impaled is ‘out of line.’
