Thanks to the rapid spread of misinformation, socialism, and communism are gaining ground in America. Historically, the murderous political ideology has overtaken governments by social movements and such is currently going on with the American youth.
The American education system has many flaws, perhaps the largest being the failure to correctly teach history to millennials. However, regardless of such, it doesn’t help that one of the largest news organizations in America is continually pushing Socialistic rhetoric to the populace either.
CNN, in January, tweeted the following, in regards to celebrating Martin Luther King Jr.;
– He’s an environmental hero
– He was a socialist before it was cool
– He never let a political disagreement turn nasty Many Americans have turned MLK into a safe holiday mascot, but some say King still speaks in ways that go beyond civil rights — Twitter
In no way, is socialism ‘cool.’ Regardless of such, millennials are being taught that socialism is the answer to their problems. In addition, to CNN and other major news outlets promoting such, nearly half of millennials, roughly 44 percent, prefer socialism to capitalism.
A poll taken in late 2017 by the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation used data provided by YouGov to determine how millennials depict socialism, communism, and capitalism.
Interestingly enough, an individual by the name of Yuri Bezmenov, a defector from the Soviet Union and former KGB Intelligence Agent, stated in an interview in 1985 how America could fall victim to a communistic/socialistic overthrow. Incredibly Yuri accurately depicts what is taking place today in America. Further, Yuri described something that we’ll call generational warfare.
Generational warfare relies on the reality that over time, generation to generation, the perception of reality is being systemically altered to favor communistic and socialistic ideology. As is evident in the latest poll, produced by the Victims of Communism. The poll data is as follows;
Percent Very Unfavorable of Communist Ideology
- 79% of Matures
- 68% of Baby Boomers
- 53% of Generation X
- 36% of Millennials
- 51% of Generation Z
The millennial generation appears to be the only generation affected by the sway of socialism and communism or is it, rather, that generation Z has yet to be fully inducted into the education system? Generation Z is described as those being born in between the years of 1995 and 2009, the oldest as of 2018 could be 23 and the youngest could be nine years old.
Over time, the amount of people who hold unfavorable views towards Communism has decreased drastically and such is giving rise to the invasion of the toxic ideology that socialism is somehow acceptable.
THE GREAT CLOUD OF WITNESSES
Hebrews 12:1 says, “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.” Here the writer to the Hebrews exhorts all who profess faith in Jesus Christ, the “author and perfecter of our faith” (v. 2), to do two things. First, we are to remove or put off any burden that keeps us from Christ-likeness, especially sin because sin ensnares us and keeps us in bondage to itself. Second, we are to persevere, patiently enduring all things until we grow and mature in the faith. James reminds us that trials serve to strengthen our faith and bring us to maturity (James 1:2-3). Hebrews 12:1 is reminding us to persevere through those trials, knowing that, by God’s faithfulness, we won’t be overwhelmed by them (1 Corinthians 10:13).
