250 celebrities demand social media censorship of ‘misinformation’ about trans drugs, surgeries

(LifeSiteNews) — More than 250 celebrities have signed onto a censorship campaign demanding that social media platforms suppress conservative views on so-called “trans healthcare.”

Last week, LGBT media advocacy group GLAAD released a public letter addressed to leaders of major social media corporations, requesting that they “stop the flow of anti-trans hate and malicious disinformation about trans healthcare [sic].” The letter was addressed to Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook and Instagram, Neal Mohan of YouTube, Shou Zi Chew of TikTok and Linda Yaccarino and Elon Musk of Twitter.

Among the signers are singers Demi Lovato and Sam Smith, actresses Ellen Page and Kristin Chenoweth and “trans” influencers Dylan Mulvaney and Jazz Jennings.

“As celebrities, influencers, and prominent public figures with significant followings on social media, we the undersigned are calling on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, and Twitter to fulfill the promises you’ve made to transgender, nonbinary, gender non-conforming and all [sic] LGBTQ users in your terms of service,” the June 27 letter begins. “There has been a massive systemic failure to prohibit hate, harassment, and malicious anti-LGBTQ [sic] disinformation on your platforms and it must [sic] be addressed.”
