Biden nominates pro-abortion attorney, homosexual judge for federal courts

WASHINGTON, D.C. (LifeSiteNews) — President Joe Biden nominated a pro-abortion attorney to a federal judgeship along with an openly homosexual judge.

On July 29, Julie Rikelman was nominated for the 1st U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals based in Boston. Rikelman recently represented Jackson Women’s Health Organization in front of the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS). The Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health decision reversed Roe v. Wade and returned the issue of abortion to the states.

Rikelman is currently the litigation director for the Center for Reproductive Rights (CRR).

“In addition to challenging bans and clinic closing laws around the country, Julie’s other litigation work at the Center has included leading the Center’s efforts against invasive ultrasound laws,” CRR wrote in its profile of her. She has also been active “fighting to preserve access to medication abortion, and defending the rights of young people in Florida and Alaska to make their own reproductive health decisions.”

Students for Life Action’s president Kristan Hawkins criticized the nomination of Rikelman.
