OTTAWA (LifeSiteNews) – Canada’s Public Health Agency spent over $43 million hiring security guards who enforced COVID quarantine rules by making house calls on returning travelers.
As per Blacklock’s Reporter, records show 593,446 “compliance visits,” or “door knocks,” were made to enforce Canada’s 14-day quarantine COVID mandate, which for a time only applied to those without the jabs.
The information was detailed in an Inquiry of Ministry from Canada’s House of Commons requested by Conservative MP Rosemarie Falk. The report highlighted that four security companies were contracted to, in essence, police the federal government’s rules.
The records show that $43.4 million was spent.
Falk voiced concern over what the Public Health Agency was doing regarding reports of security guards harassing people.
“What recourse is the Agency making available to individuals who are harassed or mistreated by a private security officer or firm acting on behalf of the Agency,” Falk asked.
The Inquiry said in reply that all complaints regarding “treatment or conduct during a compliance verification visit that have been received are reviewed.”
