China’s WARSHIPS and jets swoop in warning to world amid North Korea missile test

The flotilla of Chinese warships, fighter jets and helicopters have been carrying out drills in recent days since being launched on June 25.

Footage shows its squadron of J-15 war planes taking to the skies from its aircraft carrier Liaoning and circling above in formations.

The move is hoped to “cement coordination between the vessels”, reports RT, “while simultaneously improving the skills of the crew and pilots”.

But on Sunday the training had to be halted as forces were redeployed to intercept a US destroyer that had stalked disputed waters in the South China Sea.

China claims USS Stethem had come within 12 miles of Triton Island – which president Xi Jinping claims belongs to People’s Republic – and so it had to “warn them off”.

But US Pacific Command head honcho Admiral Harry Harris accused the People’s Republic of Korea “eroding the rules-based international order”.
