Fully vaccinated Canadian senator dies shortly after a long struggle with COVID

SUDBURY, Ontario (LifeSiteNews) – A fully jabbed Canadian senator who died as a result of a monthlong battle with COVID continued to promote the “protection” of the injections only shortly before her death.

Josée Forest-Niesing, 56, who had an autoimmune condition that affected her lungs, contracted COVID last month, according to her office.

She was sent home on November 14 after spending a month in the hospital battling the virus, but her condition later deteriorated before her passing last week.

Despite dying due to her struggle with the virus even though she had two full jabs, just last week her office released a statement praising the injections.

“Senator Forest-Niesing would like to remind all Canadians of the importance of vaccination,” her office said.

“(She) remains convinced her fight would have been much different if it had not been for this protection.”

Speaker of the Senate George Furey released a statement on Saturday to “extend my condolences to all her family, friends and loved ones.”

A lawyer, Forest-Niesing was appointed to the Senate by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in 2018. She sat with the Independent Senators Group, which is mostly made up of people affiliated with the Liberal party.
