North Carolina art museum cancels drag queen story hour originally advertised as ‘best for ages 2 and up’

RALEIGH, North Carolina (LifeSiteNews) – The North Carolina Museum of Art cancelled a taxpayer-funded Drag Queen Story Hour event for children as young as two following a burst of backlash from the public.

The cancellation came after news of the event and its intended audience circulated across social media. On Monday, conservative activist Christopher Rufo posted on Twitter about the planned “Artful Story Time.”

“The North Carolina Museum of Art is hosting a ‘drag queen story hour’ for children as young as two,” he wrote. “The museum promises to promote the ‘gender fluidity of childhood’ and unleash a ‘maelstrom of passion’.”
