CALGARY, Alberta (LifeSiteNews) – Canadian Christian Pastor Artur Pawlowski was released from a Calgary jail on bail this afternoon after his legal team agreed to terms that allowed him to go home with his family.

Pawlowski was locked up for 51 days, starting February 8, and he spent a lot of the time in solitary confinement in conditions his family earlier described as “filthy.”

According to Rebel News, the people who gathered to welcome Pawlowski after his release were told by authorities that they had to leave immediately or they would arrest Pawlowski again.

Shortly after the warning, video shows Pawlowski being greeted by his wife and son after leaving jail.

Last Friday, Pawlowski was granted bail by a provincial court judge on mischief and critical infrastructure charges. However, he was not released right away after added charges were placed against him for which additional bail conditions had to be met.

He was then transferred from the Calgary Remand Centre to the Edmonton Remand Centre over the weekend but was sent back to Calgary to be released today.

Despite being out of jail today, Pawlowski is under strict house arrest
