Riley Gaines calls out Trudeau’s ‘radical disdain for women’ after trans powerlifter sets record

(LifeSiteNews) – Riley Gaines, the American swimmer turned conservative activist and advocate for women’s sports, took a direct shot at Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau after a gender-confused biological male who claims to be a female set a Canadian women’s powerlifting record last weekend.

“@JustinTrudeau’s radical disdain for women (and reality) in effect,” Gaines posted Monday in a video on X (formerly Twitter).

“There is a new Canadian national record holder in women’s powerlifting. The only problem is it wasn’t set by a woman.”

Gaines is a former University of Kentucky All-American swimmer and is best known for speaking out against men competing against women in sports because of transgender ideology.

In the video post, she took aim at the gender-confused person who goes by the name of “Anne” Andres, 40, who over the weekend set a Canadian powerlifting record at the Canadian Powerlifting Union’s 2023 Western Canadian Championship despite strong opposition from females in the sport.

Andres outlifted the females in the category by over 200 kilograms, winning first place in the Female Masters Unequipped category.
