On Thursday President Trump detailed that due to the recent rhetoric from North Korea, the United States was going to withdraw from the sit down planned for the June 12th, 2018 Summit. However, on Friday the President appeared to change tones after North Korea expressed its willingness to sit down with the President.

Trump stated that it was; “Very good news to receive the warm and productive statement from North Korea,” Trump said on Twitter. “We will soon see where it will lead, hopefully to long and enduring prosperity and peace. Only time (and talent) will tell!”

President Trump was responding to recently issued statements by Kim Kye Gwan, North Korea’s Vice Foreign Minister, who detailed that North Korean leaders are still willing to sit down with Trump “at any time, at any format.”

Before the statements by Kim Kye Gwan, the White House blamed North Korea’s latest nuclear rhetoric for their unwillingness to meet for pre-summit planning.

The President also noted that the Democrats are not supporting the potential peace process;

“Democrats are so obviously rooting against us in our negotiations with North Korea,” he said, also accusing Democrats of supporting “MS-13 thugs,” and wanting to raise taxes. “Dems have lost touch!”
