Thousands have signed an online petition calling for a national holiday in honor of the Rev. Billy Graham, WSOC reports.

The Change.org petition, which was started six days ago by user Kyle Siler, had more than 60,736 signatures as of Monday morning and is addressed to President Donald Trump, as well as senators Thom Tillis, Richard Burr and Jerry Tillman.

The petition highlighted Graham’s impact on people all over the world:

“Lets get a National Holiday for Billy Graham!! Mr. Graham preached the Gospel to more people in live audiences than anyone else in history—nearly 215 million people in more than 185 countries and territories—through various meetings, including Mission World and Global Mission. Hundreds of millions more have been reached through television, video, film, and webcasts. Mr. Graham’s counsel was sought by presidents, and his appeal in both the secular and religious arenas is evidenced by the wide range of groups that have honored him, including numerous honorary doctorates from many institutions in the U.S. and abroad. Help us with our cause of setting a national holiday to remember this great man.”

Skywatcher: I ask the same question of any and every person that stands on the alter to speak the Word of God. In my own perspective I some times catch the awe in the idiom connections and the truth of language, but only sometimes to a glimpse of a flash I can catch sight of the profound epiphany. The truth is the Hu element equation doesn’t have the processing speed to connect two truths building up multiplying existentially with Perfection perfecting with all of God and His Word. And I also agree that the idea in a garden of transcending loss; that any pastor after the transcending would what to be admonished to the glory of God.

What a foolish waste of time such a petition is for such a disgusting and Anti-christian man! Billy Graham did more to hurt the Body of Christ than he did to build it up! He started out fine, but ended up a compromising theologically ecumenical mess! I can hear Christ citing the words of Mt. 7: 20-23 to this errant deceiver. These are very strong words, and I make no apology! When one looks at all the evidences why strong Bible-believing Christians and Bible Colleges withdrew from him, one has to pause and ask…”Was I wrong to hold this man up in such high esteem?” When the world loves a preacher and Christians withdraw from him, one has to ask how this can be! If one loves the world, he is the enemy of Christ…
