WASHINGTON, D.C. (LifeSiteNews) – Pro-abortion activists were arrested for interrupting the Supreme Court’s hearing by yelling about the Dobbs v. Jackson decision, which returned the issue of abortion to elected lawmakers. The Supreme Court was hearing arguments on an unrelated banking law case.
“A press release identified the demonstrators as Emily Paterson and Nikki Enfield of Virginia, and Ronalde Baker of Arizona,” according to CBS News.
The activists were “charged with violating a federal law that makes it illegal to ‘make a harangue or oration’ in the Supreme Court building, and a second that forbids demonstrating with the intent of interfering with administration of justice,” according to CBS News.
“I rise respectfully to denounce Dobbs! Women of America — vote,” the first woman screamed. The next two yelled “Our right to choose will not be stripped away!” and “We will restore our freedom to choose!” before encouraging people to vote.
Leftist organizer Kai Newkirk praised the three activists for their interruption of the Supreme Court, sending out a news release and a fundraiser for them.
