Virginia dad no longer facing charges for accusing woke teacher of ‘grooming’

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Virginia (LifeSiteNews) – Prosecutors said Thursday that they will no longer pursue a case against a local father charged with slander for accusing an activist of “grooming” a student at his son’s high school.

Fairfax County, Virginia, assistant prosecutor Paul Vitale wrote in a filing that “the Commonwealth does not believe there is sufficient evidence” to prosecute the charges against Harry Jackson, the Daily Wire reported.

Jackson, a former Naval intelligence officer whose son attends the prestigious Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology (TJ), faced four misdemeanor charges following complaints brought by Jorge Torrico, a TJ teacher and member of TJ Alumni Action Group, a leftist alumni group that advocates for race-based admissions and an “anti-racist student culture” at the Fairfax County school.

Torrico initially filed two complaints against Jackson after he tweeted that the teacher engaged in “grooming” behavior during an online PTSA meeting in November 2020.
