White House refuses to say whether Biden will sign bill to declassify COVID origin documents

WASHINGTON, D.C. (LifeSiteNews) — The Biden White House is refusing to give a straight answer on whether or not the Commander in Chief plans to sign a bipartisan bill requiring the declassification of all documents related to the origins of the COVID-19 outbreak.

The hesitation comes after the “COVID-19 Origin Act of 2023,” first introduced in the Senate by Republican U.S Sen. Josh Hawley Missouri, achieved unanimous approval from both chambers of Congress in the past weeks.

Though some predicted the bill would become law given that U.S. President Joe Biden hadn’t preemptively suggested he’d veto it, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre appeared to throw cold water on those predictions Thursday.

During a March 16 press conference, a reporter asked Jean-Pierre whether she had “an answer now as to whether or not the president will sign the COVID origins intelligence bill that was unanimously passed?”

“So, we’re looking at it,” the press secretary responded, adding that Biden’s team has “continued to share information with members of congress.”

She argued that Biden “asked his intelligence
