Support for same-sex marriage is at an all time high – even among white evangelicals and it’s due to a generational shift, according to a new study from Pew Research Center.
Their poll shows that 47 percent of Generation X and Millennial evangelicals (those born after 1964) favor gay marriage, compared with 26 percent of Boomer and older evangelicals (those born between 1928 and 1964).
“I think a shift is inevitable. It’s just a matter of how long,” Julie Rodgers, a lesbian who once worked for evangelical Wheaton College, told The Washington Post.

The answer is really quite simple;most of these “young Christians” aren’t Christian. The Holy Bible is what defines us as Christians, not what we consider ourselves as based on how we determine Gods standards. The HOLY BIBLE dictates what we stand for and what we stand against, what we do and what we won’t do, all of this is within the Holy pages sent by God.
The modern industrial church which inherited false spiritual baggage from man’s churches over the past centuries needs to return to God’s patter for His church.
The Church is:
Jesus Christ and Born Again Believer having the indwelling on the Holy Spirit our true Teacher, Guide, and Comforter along with God’s written Word.
That is the Church, everything else is mans churches.
The modern Church has entered into the period of time referred in Scriptures as The Great Falling Away. Departing from the plain teaching of Jesus Christ, Churches have embraced the world. They knowingly reject Jesus Christ and His message of repentance/salvation, and God’s Written Word. Openly teaching false doctrines deceiving those earnestly seeking God for which they shall be judged. In order to maintain followers and gain wealth they do not teach Born Again Believers that they (Believer) have a Royal Priesthood and are themselves the church and they may commune with God through His Holy Spirit our True Teacher, Comforter and Guide as taught and promised by Jesus Christ and written in Scriptures.
As it is written the Vail of the Temple was torn in two signifying the end of the need for priest, sacrifices, or Temples (Churches) and that all may come before God with Christ as the only Intercessor.
The foundation of the Church is Jesus Christ and Families. Fathers are ordained by God to be the Spiritual leaders and Teacher in the home and mothers (wife) as his confidant and councilor. (The lack of understanding of this is why our families are falling apart.)
What we now embrace as churches is failing because we are not following God’s pattern for His Church. The callings of the Apostles ended with there passing and the Church at that time scattered. It was never intended that God’s Church was to be conducted in the manner that we now do.

I agree with what you said but I would go a bit further. All of what you said can be traced back to the Protestant “Reformation.” If we want to return to Christ’s Church and abandon “Man’s church” then we have to embrace Catholicism.

You are right about the Reformation not going far enough. The corruption of the RCC up to the time of the Reformation and even as I type these words, testify to its fallen state. And to be fair todays industrial Madison Avenue style driven Protestant Churches, are sadly in the same boat.
Denominations arising from the Reformation built their religious organizations after that of the Roman Catholic Church. There should have been a clean and total break but they missed the opportunity not grasping the true pattern of God’s Church. (A brief summery follows.)

Believers take care of their families in sickness, in health, and as they advance in age…and come together (as an Assembly – group) to do the same for fellow Believers and others.
Believers teach, help, and assist family members (and others) to become self sufficient and not to be a burden on others.

We have now entered the end of the church age and “have been warned in Scripture to flee mans godless churches” and the coming one world religion. BUT WHERE THEN SHALL WE FLEES? Certainly not into mans corrupted churches of which we are warned to flee?

Thank you for the message. I have to disagree with you concerning the Catholic Church. Although some of the members of the Church might have been or still are corrupt the teachings of the Church are true and Biblical. Here is the way I see it. Christ Jesus, being God, established a Church and promised to be with it and He also promised to send the Holy Spirit to lead it to the truth. With all of that I cannot see how the Church could have failed from a doctrinal standpoint. Also, if all of that is the case then that one, same Church should still be in existence now. The only candidate for this is the Catholic Church.

It is clear that Christ confirmed that Peters convection of Christ as Messiah was through the Holy Spirit which is also true of those who come to recognize and accept Christ as their God and Saviour.

There is only one leader for the true Believers and that is Jesus Christ. Believers defined in Scripture as a Peculiar People having a Royal Priesthood (not of mans but of God and commissioned by God) to sow the seed of the Salvation through Jesus Christ and teach that all by Gods grace will be saved if they will open their minds and hearts and accept the gift of Salvation through Christ.
THE CALLING OF JESUS CHRIST:
Scriptures record that Christ spoke the words that the Father sent Him to give. He (seeded) the Gospel to His Apostles and Disciples who in turn were commanded to go out into the wold and do the same until they were called to be with Him. Christ left the earth gifting to all Believers His Holy Spirit our Teacher, Comforter, and Guide along with His Written Word until His return. Mans responsibility is to facilitate the share that message, not to add to it whereby it becomes so deformed, burdensome and corrupted it is a hindrance, like the religious leaders whom Christ confronted daily. I will not list the corrupt fruits of the RCC Church over 1500 years (and present). sadly I am persuaded you are prepared to overlook the evidence which is historically documented and beyond dispute.
The Calling of Apostles and True Believers:
THE APOSTLES WHO WALKED WITH AND WERE TAUGHT DIRECTLY BY CHRIST, THEIR DISCIPLES, AND BELIEVERS WERE ALL INSTRUCTED TO (SOW THE WORD) OF SALVATION THROUGH CHRIST CHRIST UNTIL HIS RETURN. There are no references whatsoever in the Teachings of Jesus Christ or Apostles to gather money and construct buildings as latter was done by mans churches. The Church is defined in Scriptures the followers of Christ (Born Again Believers) referred to as the “Body of Christ”…again the Church.

Terribly sad. I saw where Germany just legalized sodomite “marriage.” Odd that Germany would do this since this is the 500th anniversary of the Reformation.
Funny you mention the reformation, given that it was about shifting the focus of the church from the cult of exclusivity with the clergy and taking it away from its thinly veiled ode to the Roman Empire and Caesar worship. Then consider that Luther said the church must always be reformed, not stay stagnant. The last point is that with 7 billion people on the planet, we don’t need to frivolously glorify God by squeezing out more people. We can afford to let the gays do their thing.
Are you suggesting that God and God’s Word has to change with the world and the ideologies of the world? Luther is right, in the first part of your reference, the church must always be reformed; to keep the world out of the Church… oh and I think Jesus said it best, Ye are in this world but not of this world…
