Scientists from the religious brain project now claim that God has the same effect on the brain as lovemaking, ecstasy, and music. Researchers at the University of Utah have linked “spiritual experiences” with the brain’s reward center.
In science’s latest attempt to undermine faith they now claim is that religious beliefs are linked with the reward center of the brain. The University of Utah, responsible for the study, claims to have located what regions of the brain that practicing religion lights up.
The University of Utah began the ‘The Religious Brain Project’ back in 2014. The Project aims to foster dialogue and understanding among people with diverse viewpoints on religion. They wish to learn how private religious experiences affect what they call the “social brain,” and how it influences social behavior.
Anderson is the principal investigator on the study along with University of Utah researchers Michael Ferguson and Jared Nielsen. Also, Julie Korenberg M.D., Ph.D., a professor of pediatrics at the University of Utah, is consulting on the project.
Researchers gathered 15-20 Mormon missionaries from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to study when they have an intense spiritual experience.
“We have over 7 billion people on this planet, most of whom practice some form of religion, and we know next to nothing about how the brain processes this stimuli,” said University of Utah graduate student and fellow author Jace King.
In the experiment, researchers put 19 recently returned missionaries into MRI machines and showed them quotations from religious leaders, passages from The Book of Mormon and Church-produced videos of family and biblical scenes over the course of an hour.
In each experiment, participants were asked to rate how strongly they were “feeling the Spirit” on a scale of one to four.
Anderson said the team wasn’t sure it would be possible for the participants to have spiritual experiences inside the machine. But it soon became clear that they could.
Their brains and bodies physically responded to religious stimuli, researchers said. Their hearts beat faster. Their breathing slowed. Many participants were in tears by the end of the scan, according to Anderson.
And in each stage of the exam, the researchers saw the same regions of the brain light up.
They saw the most activity in the nucleus accumbens, an area of the brain that is also associated with romantic love, parental love, appreciation of music, gambling and certain drugs like cocaine and methamphetamines.
Is God the same as sex, drugs, and music?
The first thing that must be noted is the difference between faith and religion. The world created religion, and God created faith. Faith continues to defy scientists understanding and the effects of faith on an individual range from biological to neurological, and so on. What the researchers and scientists at the University of Utah uncovered is that worldly religion can have the same effect on mankind as sex, drugs, and music.
The second thing that must be understood is that according to the Holy Bible there is one God. Mormons do not worship that God, even though they claim to. Mormons have altered scripture and continue to change The Word of God, making the scripture earthly rather than heavenly.
There are two scriptures which describe exactly what not to do with the Bible: Revelation 22:18-19, and Deuteronomy 4:2
– Revelation 22:18-19
18 For I protest unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book.
19 And if any man shall diminish of the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy City, and from those things which are written in this book.
– Deuteronomy 4:2
2 Ye shall put nothing unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye take ought there from, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.
Altering the Word of God overtime can change the context and change the meaning of what God and His people said and did. It can also alter what people believe will come upon the Earth in the last days. Why does this matter? Because the individuals who are trying to learn scripture and worship God would not be worshiping the true God, they would be worshiping man’s version of God, the effects of said scripture would all be carnal.
While that may seem harsh, it is not as severe as God’s punishment for those who alter scripture, and His punishment for those who follow the wolves in sheep’s clothing.
The Religious Brain Project
Science has long sought to understand the effects of religion on social activity, but they have never succeeded. With the results of the new study and the adulteration of the Word of God, science will now claim that God is the same as having sex, doing drugs, and or listening to music.
Scientists often have an ulterior motive for conducting such projects, and it is important to note that an individual named Michael Ferguson involved with the study is a member of the Mormon Transhumanist Association and is also a homosexual. Both of which are agendas that line up with what the true Bible says about the End of Days.
The lead researcher Jeffrey S. Anderson, M.D., Ph.D. Is involved with magnetoencephalography, which is a functional neuroimaging technique for mapping brain activity by recording magnetic fields produced by electrical currents occurring naturally in the brain, using very sensitive magnetometers. However, in 2015 scientists showed that magnets could alter an individual’s religious beliefs and strong political beliefs with magnetism. Dr. Anderson’s research has the potential to pinpoint locations that scientists could use for mind control.
One of the last scopes mind control has yet to conquer is the Christian Faith – and it never will. That said, mind and belief altering technology can effect worldly beliefs, without the actual protection of Jesus Christ.
The researched results that the scientist have displayed show religions effects on mankind, not God’s. Science has long waged war with God, through lies, manipulation, and indoctrination. One day they may alter an individual’s belief in religion, but they will never change the reality of God. True faith cannot be understood, nor can an experience with Jesus Christ be explained by science because faith is not seen, and cannot be seen. Which is why Christ commands us to have an individual relationship with Him, rather than a collective relationship – the experience of God varies from person to person which showcases just a minute fraction of His almighty capability.
Just want to say that study is crazy at the same time Mormons aren’t Christians others will say that’s mean but it’s the truth. Do people say it’s mean to say Mormons aren’t Christians because they don’t know thw Word of are deceived.
Exactly correct. The wolves are in sheep’s clothing and they are deceiving many. And this next generation is being indoctinated by this antichrist spirit. They are going to fall right into line. This is the time to awaken these who are deceived. We must hold the bible literally. This scientism has been implemented to make people believe that we are just some insignificant speck on one of millions of worlds. The goal is to remove the truth of YHWH from people. We should fear him and respect him and his commandments. He gave the bible to us to help us. It’s all truth. There’s a good movie that came out by Robbie Davidson called Scientism. IT’S SPOT ON.
Shows the difference between science and scientism. I think it’s on YouTube for free on Celebrate Truth channel called. Scientism exposed full documentary. They are also selling copies. I bought one a few days ago to be able to share with others.
Do you think Joel Osteen is a false teacher I think he is others will say you don’t listen to him he talks about Jesus no he does not.
yes, that man and his abominable wife are false teachers..
I agree I try to tell people the truth about Joel osteen but people say I don’t know what he says because I don’t listen to him do you think I don’t listen to him because God is protecting me from his false teachings? All I can do is pray for the ones who do listen to him I don’t know what else to say they never believe me and they just listen to what he says I refuse to watch or listen to him Joel osteen I mean and on the Mormons people say I’m going against my own brothers they know Jesus no Mormons don’t know Jesus.
Very interesting
Wow. I can definitely see the potential applications for this that won’t be used for good. They are going to try to give this to the true followers of Yeshua. Must regardless of whatever they come up with to use against us. They will not prevail. For he who is us is mightier than he who is in the world. People also need to be aware of the fact that not only are they changing YHWH word. A whole lot of these Mormon temples are built directly on top of ancient places of worship or sacrificial grounds. They took a page from the Roman Catholic church. They excavate these places in hopes of finding ancient technology and other things. They also have a whole lot of Masons who are Mormons.
They don’t worship the one true Eloheim of the bible YHWH. And don’t follow YESHUA HA MASHIACH. They follow after the spirit of antichrist. They showed Utah has the worst problem with mental health problems and highest percent of Mormons… I think there may be a connection between the two things. Just my thoughts on if.
