In early January of 2017, a bill was introduced into Congress to remove the United State’s participation in the United Nations.
The bill would repeal the United Nations Participation Act of 1945, and the bill calls for the President to terminate U.S. membership in the United Nations, including any organ, specialized agency, commission, or other formally affiliated body; and closure of the U.S. Mission to the United Nations.
The proposed legislation prohibits the authorization of funds for the U.S. assessed or voluntary contribution to the U.N., the approval of funds for any U.S. contribution to any U.N. military or peacekeeping operation, the expenditure of funds to support the participation of U.S. Armed Forces as part of any U.N. military or peacekeeping operation, U.S. Armed Forces from serving under U.N. command, and diplomatic immunity for U.N. officers or employees.

It would appear as though the United States is set to shake the International stage early into Trump’s Presidency by repealing our membership to the United Nations. However, the bill was only introduced into the House on January 3rd, 2017 by Republican Mike Rogers, and has not (yet) been passed.
Combined with Trump’s statements regarding forcing the United Nations Member States to pay their dues, and the introduction of this bill, the question keeps surfacing is the United States about to leave the United Nations? What say you reader?

It is sad how few US Americans know anything about history.
The UN was originally drawn up by the US State Department, under Roosevelt and Churchill, in 1939. Formal established of the organization was in 1945, after WWII, with the explicit intend of preventing another WORLD WAR from happening.
Since then the UN has been on of the US’s most important tools to establish, and keep, US hegemony. Sure that goes completely contrary to the “NWO globalists and their black helicopters!1” narrative, but that is the actual history and purpose of the UN.
If US Americans want to throw away one of their most powerful international tools then so be it, as a European I welcome this change: The less influence the US has around the world the better, the world is still trying to recover from your last “crusade” in which you already ignored the UN and started an illegal war of aggression.
With the US out of the UN chances are this won’t happen that quickly again, because then the US will be recognized for what it actually is: The biggest “rogue state” there is.

I’m sickened every day he sits in the white house on what he considers his throne. Please know what there were far more Americans that voted against the dictator than for him. You failed to mention that this type of thing is proposed at least once a year – while there are some things worth debating, people so opposed to the UN should see what happens to countries that do just this. Also, considering the US debt, it would have irreparable strains between the US and the IMF & WB. It’s also interesting to see what happens to those countries as well…
We have built once, we can build again. We are willing to do whatever it takes to restore GOD back into our country, get rid of the Islam ad live our lives the best we can. We will protect our self and we will run out all the UN. Many of us dont care about all that technology, etc… we are sick of it as well as geothermal spraying of highly toxic chemicals. WE are DONE.
Well, is it Islam you are seeking to get rid of or sin and to live honorably (which requires true humility and charity). Assuming you are a Bible believing and Christ-centered Christian, it would be the latter and not the reaction response of “WE are DONE.” and the like.
Besides, if people are done as you say, why not do so intelligently which would require consulting lawyers and law makers – not just spewing out rhetoric – that would be far more effective.
