A senior Chinese military official claims that under President Donald Trump, war with the United States is no longer just a ‘slogan,’ and is rapidly becoming a practical reality.
The provocative remarks were posted on the People’s Liberation Army website. Quoted in the South China Morning Post, the official from the Commission’s Defense Mobilization Department wrote: “A war ‘within the president’s term’ or ‘war breaking out tonight’ are not just slogans, they are becoming a practical reality.”
Further evidence that China is preparing for conflict with the United States emerged this week, with unconfirmed reports that the military moved long range missiles closer to the northeast border in Heilongjiang province which is within firing range of the US.
The official also called for military deployments in the tense South and East China Seas and for a missile defense system to guard the Korean peninsula, another local hot spot, the Post reported.
A war between the two superpowers would easily and inevitably lead to a global war; one of which the World just may not recover.
